Sanofi Pasteur has offered again this year to host a GMP Training Course on June 7-8th. They have selected a new speaker/course master this year, Dr. Laureen Little, and the tentative title will be, "Basic GMPs for an Early Stage Vaccine Product".
A draft agenda from Dr. Little is attached below, but note that the topics may be modified to better suit the needs of MARCE according to your feedback. Also included will be a half-day tour of the influenza manufacturing facilities at Sanofi Pasteur, which is always a highlight for participants. The course would run Thurs morning through Fri afternoon, plus a welcome reception is provided Wed evening.
Sanofi will cover transportation from the meeting site to the facilities tour, all other meeting expenses, and the following meals:
Wed. June 6 - Dinner
Thurs. June 7 - Breakfast, lunch, dinner
Fri. June 8 - Breakfast, lunch
The arrangements have been made with Skytop Lodge (Poconos region in PA, http://www.skytop.com/) for the location of MARCE cGMP meeting. The cost for MARCE attendees will be $155 + tax (7.5%) per night (single occupancy). If you do not have ample travel funds on your MARCE grant to cover this, the MARCE Admin Core can cover your travel and hotel expenses.
If you wish to attend, the attached registration form MUST be returned to Shawnell Stokes (sstokes@medicine.umaryland.edu) by April 19th. Rooms will only be held up to that date. Please distribute this to post-docs and others in your lab. We also welcome non-MARCE folks to attend, though their travel and hotel expenses cannot be reimbursed by the MARCE.
